Introducing the first RUSACK Vineyards Blanc de Noir! This luxurious wine embodies the passion and creativity spent over years to see this wine to completion. Comprised entirely of Pinot Noir, the two base wines from 2019 and 2020 vintages were aged separately in neutral French oak barrels and blended in the early spring of 2021. The blend was bottled and tiraged by hand in June of 2021. After cellaring the wine for approximately 15 months in a cool, dark place, we began the labor-intensive process of riddling by hand. Using traditional pupitres (A-frame wooden riddling racks), bottles are set to decline at a 45 degree angle and turned in small increments for six months. The bottles were then disgorged by hand over a series of three days. While some traditional sparkling wines finish with dosage, we chose to leave this wine in a Brut style, culminating in a remarkably balanced ‘dry’ wine.
