Ever since we replanted our Ballard Canyon vineyard over a decade ago, we’ve missed this wonderful varietal. Deciding we could wait no more, in 2012 we began searching for the best Cabernet Sauvignon that Santa Barbara County had to offer. Ultimately, we found those grapes at Vogelzang’s Happy Canyon vineyard, located in a Southeastern area of the Santa Ynez Valley. Due to both meticulous viticultural care and a perfect climate of intense summer heat and low humidity, this wine truly stands out! From its nose, color, and combination of elegance, complexity and balance, the oft used saying, “Cab is king!” epitomizes what’s in this bottle!

Our 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with tempting aromas of black currant, tobacco, and anise. On the palate, hints of vanilla, cola, and cherry come together to create a lasting finish.
