Santa Rita Hills (Sta. Rita Hills AVA) has quickly become a Santa Barbara County favorite location for Pinot Noir vineyards. Our Pinot Noir is a classic example of the ultra-premium quality that this area can produce. The wine has seductive aroma qualities of bright red cherries, red raspberries and cola. The flavors of black cherry and cinnamon, combined with velvety tannins, complete this elegant offering.
The grapes for our bottling of Pinot Noir hail from Fiddlestix Vineyard on the western edge and John Sebastiano on the northern edge of the appellation. Upon delivery to the winery, the grapes were gently de-stemmed, then cold soaked before the onset of fermentation. The fermenting “must” was punched down by hand twice each day. The new wine was then aged in a mixture of new (55%) and older French oak barrels for 11 months prior to being bottled without filtration. 533 cases of the Pinot Noir, Sta. Rita Hills were produced.

Constant temperature, 55-58° f, darkness
To enjoy young fruit aromas, consume within 1-2 years of bottling date. For extended aging under ideal conditions, consume within 2-5 years of bottling date.
